Introducing! $50,000 fine for careless driving causing death in Ontario 
The recent rise of death in Ontario through careless driving has prompted a plan from the provincial government to increase the fine from $2,000 to $50,000.
According to Globe and mail, the main aim of the new plan is to protect pedestrian and cyclist in Ontario. Drivers face with the option to either apply extra caution while driving or pay $50,000 fine, 2 years in jail and have their license suspended for up to 5 years.
